Let’s be real: life is full. Between work, family, errands, and everything else - we’re all juggling a lot. That’s one of the many reasons I offer virtual therapy only at Carolina Healing Collective.
If you’ve never done therapy online before, you might wonder: Can this actually work? The answer is a confident yes - and for many people, it works even better than in-person.
Here’s why:
💡 It saves you time, money, and stress.
No commute. No sitting in traffic. No circling the block looking for a parking spot. Just find a private space (your bedroom, your car, even a walk-in closet will do!) and hop on Zoom. Your session takes up just one hour - no extra time added for driving there and back. That means less disruption to your day and more time to take care of you.
🛋️ You’re in your comfort zone.
Let’s face it - therapy can bring up big feelings. Doing it from your own space can make it feel a little safer and more grounded. You can curl up in a blanket, light your favorite candle, or sip tea in your favorite mug. That sense of comfort helps you open up more easily and feel more at ease.
🐾 I get to know you better.
One of my favorite things about virtual therapy? Getting a glimpse into your world. Whether it’s your favorite piece of art on the wall, your cozy couch, or your dog who insists on joining every session (hi, fur babies 🐶) -these little moments give me insight into your life and help deepen our connection.
🌎 You can see a therapist who really fits your needs.
Because I’m licensed in North Carolina, I can work with anyone in the state -no matter how far apart we are geographically. This means you can work with someone who really gets your needs, instead of settling for whoever is closest to your zip code.
🧠 It’s flexible and accessible.
Having a rough day? Bad weather? Car won’t start? No problem - you can still show up to session.
Living with chronic pain, disability, or fatigue? Virtual therapy removes the physical barriers of getting to an office.
Concerned about privacy or stigma? No one sees you walk in or out of a therapy office. It’s just you and me, in a secure and confidential space.
✨ It’s also incredibly effective.
We can share screens to review resources together, take joint notes, and collaborate on goals in real time. Many clients love having a copy of what we worked on by the end of the session - it keeps therapy feeling actionable and clear.
A quick reality check ⚠️
While virtual therapy works wonderfully for many, it’s not perfect for everyone:
If your internet connection is shaky, tech issues can be frustrating.
If you live with others, finding privacy might take some creativity (though I’ve got tips for that!).
And some folks just prefer the feel of an in-person space, which is totally okay.
That said—for most of my clients, virtual therapy feels easier, more sustainable, and even more personal than they expected.
